FDA Approves First-Of-Its-Kind Medicine

The combination reportedly provides fast-acting relief of Tylenol and the longer-lasting power of Aleve.

The FDA has approved a first-of-its-kind medicine.

Federal regulators approved Tylenol with Naproxen, a combination of acetaminophen, sold under the brand name ‘Tylenol,’ and naproxen sodium, sold under the brand name ‘Aleve.’

Each tablet contains 325 milligrams of acetaminophen and 110 milligrams of naproxen sodium. Two tablets can be taken every 12 hours.

The combination reportedly provides fast-acting relief of Tylenol and the longer-lasting power of Aleve. The new product is expected to be available soon, as an over-the-counter medication.
