Kohberger, in his handwritten petition, claims that his high-profile defense team didn’t tell him about “exculpatory discovery” evidence mentioned in the recent “broken plea” book but never vetted in court.

Kohberger was convicted last year after he pled guilty in open court and admitted to the murders. He was sentenced to life without parole.
