Manmade Gourmet’s Love It or Chuck It: Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pink Drink

So specialty drinks made by your favorite trendy coffee shop are all the rage, but the only rage the Manmade Gourmet feels is the $10 price tag they charge, to Tyler and Vaughan decided to jump on the trend bandwagon and do it at home.

Per usual, we tried to stick, as best we could, to the recipe that we found…

First, here is the list for the drink – there isn’t a lot:

  • 1 ½ Cup of Strawberries
  • 1 Cup Light Coconut Milk

For the cold foamt:

  • ¼ Cup of Coconut Cream
  • 1 TBSP Maple Syrup
  • 1 TBSP Cocoa Powder

How to make it – and it is SIMPLE:

  1. To make this drink, start by adding the strawberries and coconut milk to a blender. You can leave the tops on the strawberries and place them in the blender whole – just make sure they’re washed thoroughly!
  2. Blend the strawberries and coconut milk until they’re smooth and creamy, then transfer the mixture to a tall glass, filled with ice.
  3. Next, prepare the chocolate cold foam. Add the coconut milk, maple syrup, and cocoa powder to a separate glass and whisk to combine. I like to use an electric whisk or milk frother to make this cold foam nice and frothy!
  4. Once the cold foam is done, pour it over top of the pink drink. Give it a light stir, then serve and enjoy!

THIS is where the inspiration came from!

Lessons learned / tips:

  • Don’t try to use a spoon to help blend
  • We used half and half, not coconut cream, that might have been better
