Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Stabbing In Darlington Co.

Darris Johnson Jr. allegedly used a knife to "strike" the victim multiple times during an argument, causing "massive blood loss."

One man is facing several charges following a fatal stabbing in Darlington County.

The situation unfolded on July 15 in the 500 block of Sweetbriar Road. Deputies responded in reference to a possible overdose. Upon arrival, officials found a victim with “multiple wounds.” They were taken to a hospital where they later died.

Johnson has been charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with intent to distribute meth, third or subsequent offense of driving under suspension, and habitual offender, in addition to a murder charge. He is being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center without bond.
