Car Crash Results In Flames Spreading To Nearby Woods

Crews responded to the area of Riverbend Road and Highway 141 where a vehicle involved in a crash caught fire.

A crash in Horry County prompted a woods fire Wednesday.

Around 9pm, crews responded to the area of Riverbend Road and Highway 141 where a vehicle involved in a crash caught fire, which set nearby woods a blaze.

The incident was under control in around 30 minutes. The car fire was put out and crews were working to fully contain the woods fire. No one was injured but lanes of traffic were blocked off for an extended period of time.

Tabor City Fire Department and Loris Fire Department helped on scene. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating with the assistance of the Horry County Police Department.
