BMW Recalls More Than 29,000 Vehicles
Owners should park their cars outside and away from structures until they take their vehicle to a BMW dealer to have the issue repaired.
BMW has issued a recall on more than 29,000 vehicles.
The recall covers 2018-2020 530e xDrive, 2017-2019 740Le xDrive, 2018-2020 530e iPerformance and 2016-2018 330e iPerformance models.
The recall was placed due to an issue with the engine starter. In some cases, water can come into contact with the starter’s electrical relay, leading to corrosion over time, which could affect electrical connections and the engine’s ability to start.
The issue could lead to a short-circuit and possible overheating. Owners should park their cars outside and away from structures until they take their vehicle to a BMW dealer to have the issue repaired.
