ICE Agent Fatally Shoots Man In Maine
This marks the second time in a week that ICE has used deadly force and at least the ninth death since President Trump began his immigration crackdown.
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent fatally shot a motorist in Maine Monday.
The victim was identified as a 26-year-old native of Columbia. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has spoken out regarding the situation.
The agents were reportedly surveilling an address for a person with a final order of removal from the country. The DHS said when ICE attempted to stop a vehicle driven by someone coming from that address, the “vehicle attempted to flee the scene and, fearing for the public safety, an officer discharged his weapon.”
The incident has sparked protests. This marks the second time in a week that ICE has used deadly force and at least the ninth death since President Trump began his immigration crackdown.
