Man Arrested For Ordering Over $11k In Laptops In Amazon Hack

One man has been arrested in Horry County after a woman reported her Amazon account had been hacked.
On Sunday, the victim informed police that her Amazon account was hacked and someone had ordered over $11,000 worth of laptops.
The woman realized it after a package showed up at her home with a laptop inside. She then tried to log into her account, but the password had been changed.
After regaining access through Amazon support, she discovered someone purchased six laptops using her credit card and tried to cancel the orders, but several were refused.
The woman called police to report a change of delivery address which was set to the Walgreens in Conway. The sheriff’s office then waited in the parking lot until 43-year-old Kelvin Baxter showed up to pick up the packages. He was arrested and charged with one count of financial identity fraud.
