Ford Places Recall On More Than 540k Vehicles

The chrome may bubble and peel, resulting in sharp edges, increasing the risk of injury. Ford is aware of one accident and 65 injuries related to this issue.

Ford has placed a recall on more than 540,000 vehicles.

The recall covers 2018-2024 Ford Expeditions. It was placed due to the vehicles’ center consoles in which the chrome trim may been manufactured by the supplier with parameters that do not meet Ford specifications.

The chrome may bubble and peel, resulting in sharp edges, increasing the risk of injury. Ford is aware of one accident and 65 injuries related to this issue. Owners should take their cars to a dealership where the center console will be inspected and replaced if necessary.
