U.S. Coast Guard Search For Body Of Missing American Woman In Bahamas

The Coast Guard has sent a crew of divers to begin the search for new evidence, including Lynette's body.

The U.S. Coast Guard has arrived in the Bahamas to search for the body of American woman, Lynette Hooker.

The 55-year-old woman vanished on April 4 while boating near Elbow Cay in the Abaco Islands with her husband, Brian. He has maintained that his wife fell from a small draft boat at night and was swept away.

However, her body has not been recovered and her case is being investigated as a “possible foreign murder of a U.S. national.” No charges have been filed, but evidence appears to undercut Brian’s account of his wife’s disappearance.

The Coast Guard has sent a crew of divers to begin the search for new evidence, including Lynette’s body.
