Russia Launches Large-Scale Attack Across Major Ukraine Cities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pleaded for more help from the United States after the strikes.

Russia launched a large-scale deadly attack early Tuesday on Kyiv as part of a broad offensive on targets across Ukraine.

At least 22 people were killed and over 30 were injured in the assault that Ukraine’s military said involved more than 600 drones and dozens of missiles, including advanced hypersonics.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pleaded for more help from the United States after the strikes. The attack left people trapped under the rubble of apartment buildings and residents seeking shelter underground as smoke filled the capital.
