UFC Freedom 250 Taking Place On White House Grounds

The fights are scheduled to be held on June 14. It will mark the first time a major live professional sporting event will be hosted on presidential grounds.

The South Lawn of the White House grounds is being transformed into an outdoor arena for an upcoming first-of-its-kind event.

Construction crews have been working to build a fight cage for a UFC fight dubbed ‘UFC Freedom 250.’ Around 4,000 people are expected to attend the event with over 90,000 expected to tune in. It is not only part of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations, but it is also being held to commemorate President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.

The fight card includes the main events between American Justin Gaethje vs. Georgian Ilia Topuria in the lightweight title bout. It also includes Brazilian Alex Pereira vs. France’s Ciryl Gane in the heavyweight interim title bout. There will be other matchups as well. There are eight American fighters on the UFC Freedom 250 fight card.
