Inaugural Venus Flytrap Festival
The event aims to celebrate Endemic Venus Flytraps, which are only found in Horry County within the state of South Carolina.

The event aims to celebrate Endemic Venus Flytraps, which are only found in Horry County within the state of South Carolina.
The first Flytrap Social will be held from 5 -7pm Thursday at Bonfire in Conway. Everyone is invited to join conservationists, naturalists, and Venus Flytrap fans to celebrate the beginning of the festival.
The second event will be held on Saturday from 8am-noon off Environmental Parkway in Conway. That day will feature a 5k as well as a conservation fair.
The festival will wrap up on Sunday from 8am-11am on International Drive with the Lewis Ocean Bay Tour.
Attendees will be allowed to go out into the Longleaf Pine Woods with local naturalists to learn more about the plants, animals, and landscape.
