Suspect Arrested, One Wanted, After Victim Shot In Vehicle

The victim was struck by gunfire three times, twice in the back and once in the right shoulder.

One man has been charged in connection to a shooting incident in Florence County.

The situation unfolded the night of April 6. A victim was driving on the 1300 block of W. Palmetto Street when another vehicle driving beside him began shooting at his car.

The victim was struck by gunfire three times, twice in the back and once in the right shoulder. They were hospitalized but are expected to be okay. It is unclear at this time what led up to the shooting.

20-year-old Emari McCray has since been arrested and charged with attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, discharging a firearm into a vehicle, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and aggravated breach of peace.

Another suspect, whose identity is unknown, is still wanted as they were also an occupant of the vehicle which the shots were fired out of.

An investigation is underway, anyone with information should contact Florence County authorities.
