In other words, the guy bench-pressing next to you might also be mentally bench-pressing complex ideas.
Researchers think traits tied to masculinity, like discipline or health, could overlap with factors that support cognitive performance. So, the next time you’re tempted to judge a book by its biceps, just remember: that “meathead” might outlift you and outsmart you.
