March Madness Final Four Teams Secured
Illinois will face off against UConn and Michigan will face off against Arizona.
The men’s NCAA tournament wrapped up the Elite Eight Sunday securing the Final Four teams.
The first team from the initial 68-team March Madness bracket to secure its Final Four spot came when No. 3 seeded Illinois defeated No. 9 seed Iowa for the program’s first trip to the final four since 2005.
No. 1 seed Arizona then won over Purdue 79-64 to advance to its first Final Four in 25 years. Then No. 1 seeded Michigan beat No. 6 Tennessee 95-62 to become the third Final Four team. Lastly No. 2 seeded UConn beat No. 1 seed Duke 73-72 to secure its spot.
The Final Four will kick off April 4 with Illinois going against UConn and Michigan facing off against Arizona. The National Championship game will then be held April 6.
