The White House turned down Elon Musk’s offer to pay TSA agents salaries during the partial government shutdown.
The Department of Homeland Security has been shut down for over a month, leaving tens of thousands of agents working without pay.
The billionaire took to ‘X’ to offer to pay the salaries of TSA personnel during the lapse in funding. Musk said, it is “negatively affecting the lives of so many Americans at airports throughout the country.”
President Trump supported the idea saying, “let him do it.” However, lawmakers denied the offer citing, legal reasons.
