Horry Co. Wildfire Fully Contained After Burning Nearly 45-Acres
People in the area will continue to see smoke and possible flare-ups.
A wildfire in Horry County is now fully contained.
Around 7:30pm Monday, Horry County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to the area of the 7000 block of Cookes Circle in Nichols on reports of a fire in a wooded area.
Around midnight the flames were fully contained after burning nearly 45-acres. Officials said no structures were damaged and were successfully protected.
Crews will continue to monitor the area and check lines. People in the area will continue to see smoke and possible flare-ups.
