Suspect In St. James High School Stabbing To Remain In Juvenile Custody

The 15-year-old suspect is now facing an attempted murder charge.

The suspect accused in the stabbing that unfolded at St. James High School will remain in juvenile custody.

The incident happened on March 4 in which a 16-year-old male student was stabbed in the back while washing his hands in the bathroom. The suspect was identified as a 15-year-old male student.

The suspect was witnessed running across the football field with a knife in his hand and was later detained.

The 15-year-old suspect is now facing an attempted murder charge and appeared at a hearing Tuesday where a judge agreed with state prosecutors to hold him in juvenile custody.

The incident remains under investigation. No other students or staff were harmed during the situation. A motive behind the attack remains unclear.
