Two Top Iranian Officials Dead As War Continues In The Middle East

The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, and the head of the Revolutionary Guard’s all-volunteer Basij force were eliminated.

Two senior Iranian security officials have been killed in overnight strikes.

The move is a major blow to the country’s leadership but Iran has not confirmed either death. Israeli Defense Minister said Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, and Gen. Gholam Reza Soleimani, the head of the Revolutionary Guard’s all-volunteer Basij force, were “eliminated.”

Larijani was considered one of the most powerful figures in the country since Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in an airstrike on the first day of the war.
