Two people were injured in an incident that unfolded in Horry County.

Around 5:30pm Sunday, Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to International Drive and Highway 90 on reports of a crash.

Upon arrival, one person was found injured by gunfire and critical injuries were reported in the crash. Those injured were taken to a hospital to be treated.

Officials said the shooting and crash were connected and that the situation was “an isolated incident between individuals known to each other.” Further details are limited as investigators work to learn more.
