Man Faces Explosives Charges After Myrtle Beach Traffic Stop

A man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop was conducted in Myrtle Beach.
31-year-old Marshall Felter was stopped along S. Ocean Boulevard on Monday. During a search of the vehicle at a nearby towing company, officers found multiple items including possible bomb making materials, gunpowder, and several firearms.
After the materials were found, authorities alerted the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office about possible explosive materials at a residence in the Darlington area.
Authorities then conducted an investigation in the area of Pearl and Hart Street. Numerous explosive devices and materials were discovered at a residence.
Felter has been charged with five counts of drug possession, manufacturing or transporting a destructive device or explosive parts for damage, injury or death. His bond has been set at $1.25 million. The investigation remains active.
