The 4-year-old canine beat out over 3,000 other dogs for the title. She won a milestone as this was the 150th event marking the second-longest continuous sporting event in the U.S..
Penny’s handler, Andy Linton, is no stranger to winning with a Doberman. The last time the breed won Best in Show at Westminster was in 1989 by Indy, who was also handled by Linton.
This year, Cota the Chesapeake Bay Retriever won Reserve Best in Show, the runner-up title.
