Officers Involved In Crash While Responding To Fatal Shooting

Authorities say that they do have a suspect in custody and a firearm has been confiscated.

Two officers were involved in a collision on Saturday while responding to a shooting incident.

The shooting took place in the 200 block of Independence Avenue. 22-year-old Jayden Cannon was involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical before shots were fired resulting in death. Authorities say that they do have a suspect in custody and a firearm has been confiscated.

Authorities reported that the collision occurred while officers were making their way to the scene and that the winter weather impacted road conditions that most likely played a role in the collision. The officers were believed to be ok.
