Trump Pauses U.S. Aid Going To Ukraine

The move is likely to increase the pressure on Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to get back in Trump's good graces.

President Trump has ordered a pause on U.S. aid going to Ukraine amid ongoing war with Russia.

The pause applies to all military aid not already on the ground in Ukraine and will affect military weapons, anti-tank weapons, and other materials the U.S. has provided to Kyiv since Russia invaded around three years ago.

Trump took office with nearly $4 billion in Ukraine funding previously approved. However, it now appears that assistance will go unused.

The move is likely to increase the pressure on Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to get back in Trump’s good graces following a heated meeting in which the two clashed about the path to ending the conflict.
