Trump Sues New York Judge Overseeing His Hush Money Case

The documents were placed under seal, though the lawsuit reportedly pertains to the gag order.

Donald Trump sued the new york judge overseeing his hush money case Monday.

The former president is facing a trial that is scheduled to start next week over allegations that he concealed reimbursement payments that were made to Stormy Daniels. He allegedly paid the money in exchange for her silence about a sexual encounter they allegedly had in 2006. He is facing 34 charges linked to the hush money payments.

Judge Juan Merchan recently imposed a gag order that bans Trump from verbally attacking witnesses, prosecutors, court staff and the judge’s family. However, that does not stop him from insulting Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg or the judge himself.
