Georgetown Police Install New Safe Exchange Zone

The zone aims to create a secure location where people of all parties feel safe during exchanges.

The Georgetown Police Department revealed a new exchange area in its parking lot.

The safe exchange zone can be used for anyone in and around Georgetown to meet up for business, exchange internet purchases with strangers or even for parents to meet for child custody transfers.

The area is located in front of the department’s Law Enforcement Complex on Highmarket Street. It has a sign, additional lights and is under 24-hour video surveillance.
