Trump To Appeal Judge’s Ruling That Allows Fani Willis To Stay On Georgia Case

Trump is asking the judge to appeal the ruling which could give him another opportunity to delay the case.

Donald Trump is seeking to appeal a ruling that allows Fani Willis to stay on the Georgia election interference case.

The former president and his co-defendants attempted to remove Willis as lead prosecutor over allegations that she received an improper financial benefit from a romance with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom she assigned to the case.

After hearing testimonies regarding the accusations, a judge ruled that Willis could stay on as long as Wade resigned from his position.

Now, Trump is asking the judge to appeal the ruling which could give him another opportunity to delay the case.

Trump and 14 co-defendants have pleaded not guilty to racketeering and other charges stemming from what prosecutors allege was a scheme to overturn Trump’s narrow defeat in Georgia in the 2020 election.
