Judge Rules Fani Willis Can Continue To Prosecute Election Interference Case
Trump and his co-defendants brought to light allegations of a relationship between Willis and Nathan Wade, who Willis hired to join the prosecution team as special prosecutor in 2021.
A Fulton County judge has ruled District Attorney Fani Willis can continue to prosecute the 2020 election interference case.
Former President Trump and 18 others were indicted last summer on state charges stemming from their alleged efforts to overturn the former president’s 2020 electoral defeat.
Trump and his co-defendants brought to light allegations of a relationship between Willis and Nathan Wade, who Willis hired to join the prosecution team as special prosecutor in 2021.
Trump and his co-defendants wanted the judge to dismiss Willis’ team from the case or throw out the charges due to a possible conflict of interest.
After thorough investigation and hearing testimonies from witnesses and Willis as well as Wade, the judge ruled Willis can stay on the case so long as Wade is removed.
