Biden Campaign Joins TikTok

President Biden’s reelection campaign has joined TikTok.

Campaign leaders say the move is a vital way to boost appeal with young voters.

The account’s first post reached over 5 million views and counting since it first debuted on Sunday.

However, the Biden administration is known for its concern over the security of the app, alleging it was China’s way of gathering U.S. information. The app was later banned on all government devices.

A spokesperson for the White House said, “There are still national security concerns about the use of TikTok on government devices and there’s been no change to our policy not to allow that.”

It was said Biden himself will not post on the app but his campaign managers will. They’ll reportedly use a separate phone to engage on the app in order to isolate using the app from other work-streams and communications.
