All electrical devices owned by the U.S. House of Representatives will no longer be allowed to contain the app.

The use of TikTok through a U.S. House device is now officially banned.

All electrical devices owned by the U.S. House of Representatives will no longer be allowed to contain the app.

The new rule follows the idea that TikTok is a “high risk to users due to a number of security risks”.

The U.S. government is expected to ban the short video platform from all federal devices as part of a legislation included in the $1.7 trillion omnibus bill that is waiting for President Biden’s signature.

Mmany states have already separately banned the use of TikTok on government devices.

TikTok has not yet commented on the House restrictions.
