Inmate Dies At Medical Center After Found Unresponsive
No foul play is suspected, but SLED is investigating in accordance with jail policy.
An inmate in an Horry County jail passed away on Saturday.
Around 7p.m., the inmate, who has not been publicly named, was found unresponsive by an officer at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
Staff and medical personnel were alerted and began conducting life saving measures while waiting for EMS.
The inmate was transported to Conway Medical Center where they were later pronounced dead.
