Hit And Run Suspect Captured After Father Of Victim Asked The Public To Help

The victim's father thanked everybody for their help and the troopers for their ability to find the suspect with little information.

The father of a seriously injured hit and run victim is thanking the public for their assistance in capturing the suspect.

On Saturday night, 19-year-old Christian Devlin was riding his bike home from work when he was struck from behind by a truck that fled the scene. Devlin survived and is alert and talking, but his injuries landed him in a full-body cast. His father recently asked the public for help in finding out who was responsible.

On Tuesday night, troopers arrested Mauro Felipe and has charged him with hit and run resulting in great bodily injury and driving without a license. He is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and no bond has been set.
