Conway Residents Express Concerns Over Possible New Development

The city council is set to reconvene on September 18th where they will deliver the final say on the proposal.

Conway officials are addressing residents’ concerns over what could be the city’s largest development ever.

The proposed project would annex nearly 1,800 acres of land into the city and would require rezoning. It would be built off of Highway 701 and Pitch Landing Road and is expected to bring over 8,000 new residents to Conway.

Current residents expressed concerns explaining that it would add to the city’s cost, responsibility, and public service demands. Residents also shared that the new development would impact traffic and expressed concerns of flooding, fire and police services.
