United Airlines Conducts Nationwide Ground Stop

On Tuesday, United Airlines conducted a nationwide ground stop.

The airline blamed the hour long travel delays on a software update, which resulted in a widespread slow-down in United’s technology system.

No airplanes in flight were affected but over 300 flights were delayed and 14 were canceled.

United emphasized that cybersecurity was not a factor in the issues and the FAA confirmed the airline had requested for the ground stop.
