Myrtle Beach To Host Events For Overdose Awareness
The City of Myrtle Beach is inviting people to two separate events that are set to honor Horry County Overdose Awareness Day.
The city of Myrtle Beach is set to host two events in honor of Horry County Overdose Awareness Day.
The city and DHEC will host a free overdose prevention and Narcan training event from 3-4p.m. on Thursday. The free workshop will go over how to recognize an overdose and the steps for using Narcan on someone. The session will be held at DHEC’s Myrtle Beach Location.
Myrtle Beach is also hosting an Horry County Overdose Awareness Day event at Chapin Park on Thursday from 6-8p.m.. They request for anyone whose life has been affected by addiction or overdose to come together and be recognized.
The event will also have resources available, speakers, free food and a visual memorial to honor those whom the community has lost.
