Simone Biles Breaks Record With 8th All-Around National Title
Even after a long absence from major competition, Biles dominated the field and locked up the all-around crown with a 15.400 in her floor exercise.
Simone Biles made history after winning a record 8th all-around national title at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships.
The 26-year-old also became the oldest woman to ever win the championships when she finished 3.9 points ahead of Shilese Jones, the all-around silver medalist at last year’s world championships.
The eighth title for Biles breaks the record that was set all the way back in 1933. Even after a long absence from major competition, she dominated the field and locked up the all-around crown with a 15.400 in her floor exercise.
Biles would not confirm or deny if she will compete in next year’s Olympics.
