Meta Rolls Out Web Version Of Threads

Threads has been consistently revealing updates but the web version was the most demanded, so the roll out is expected to reignite stronger user engagement.

On Tuesday, Meta’s newest platform, Threads rolled out its highly anticipated web version.

Threads mobile-only version was launched last month and the release of the web version is a significant step for the platform to recreate the functions offered by rival app ‘X’ formerly known as ‘Twitter’.

The app itself gained over 100 million users within its first week but it still lacked many of the features that made Twitter popular, such as trending topics, direct messaging, and several others.

Threads has been consistently revealing updates but the web version was the most demanded, so the roll out is expected to reignite stronger user engagement.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed that he is ‘quite optimistic’ about the potential positive future of ‘Threads’.
