U.S. Warns American Citizens To Evacuate And Refrain Travel To Belarus

The Embassy is limited in ability to assist U.S. citizens residing in or traveling to Belarus.

The Biden administration issued a travel advisory as well as warned U.S. citizens to depart the country of Belarus immediately.

The travel warning comes after bordering countries Lithuania, Latvia and Poland have boosted security along their borders over concerns regarding Russian Wagner mercenary forces that have been exiled in the country.

Americans that are currently in Belarus are urged to leave as soon as possible as it has been categorized as a Level 4 risk, which is the highest security warning.

The U.S. mission in Belarus has scaled down and will now only handle emergency American citizen services, meaning the Embassy is limited in ability to assist U.S. citizens residing in or traveling to Belarus.
