Russia’s First Moon Mission In Decades Failed
The country's last lunar lander, Luna 24, landed on the surface of the moon on August 18th of 1976.
Russia’s first moon mission in decades has failed.
The country’s Luna 25 spacecraft crashed into the moon’s surface after Russia lost contact with it on Saturday.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, but a specially formed commission has been selected investigate the reasons for the loss of the craft which was meant to complete Russia’s first lunar landing mission in 47 years.
