On Wednesday a Utah man was shot and killed by FBI agents after making alleged threats against President Biden.
In recent months Craig Robertson allegedly posted online threats against other Democratic politicians and prosecutors who have brought cases against Former President Donald Trump. Some of the threats happened just ahead of Biden’s planned trip to Utah Wednesday morning.
One threat read, “I hear Biden is coming to Utah, digging out my old ghillie suit and cleaning the dust off the M24 Sniper Rifle. Welcome, Buffon-in-Chief.”
The threats had been deemed credible and the shooting occurred when FBI special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants on Robertson who faced charges including interstate threats, threats against the president, and influencing, impeding and retaliating against federal law enforcement officers by threat.
The shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division and details are limited at this time.
