A fox in Florence tested positive for rabies.

The animal was located near east Cricklewood Drive and Hopkins Court.

DHEC reported that no person was exposed, however one dog was and is currently in quarantine.

The fox was submitted to DHEC’s lab for testing and was confirmed to be infected with rabies.
