Man Sentenced To 60 Years In Prison After Entering A Guilty Plea

The suspect was charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and three counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

On Tuesday, a man was sentenced to 60 years in prison after pleading guilty.

26-year-old Ty Walters III, fatally shot 45-year-old Charles Wall and 21-year old Laura Anderson. A third person was injured, Paul McConnell was hit once with a bullet, and then struck in the head and face with a gun leaving him with serious bodily injuries and leading to several surgeries.

The incident occurred on August 24th of 2020. McConnell and Anderson were waiting for Wall to help them move furniture when Wall slowed down too quickly on Highway 521 in Georgetown County.

Walters was traveling behind Wall and crashed into the back of his vehicle. The accident prompted frustration leading to Walters firing off a .40-caliber handgun that ended both victims lives and injured McConnell.
