Man Arrested After Fender Bender With Georgetown Police Vehicle

No injuries were reported from this incident and Moyd was booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

On Thursday, a man was arrested in Andrews after a short police pursuit.

Around 2:30 in the afternoon, 41-year-old Donavin Moyd struck the rear bumper of an unmarked Georgetown County Sheriff’s vehicle, causing minor damage.

Once he realized he had hit the law enforcement vehicle, he attempted to flee the scene and was caught shortly after a brief chase.

Moyd had an active warrant out for his arrest involving malicious injury to personal property.

No injuries were reported from this incident and Moyd was booked into the Georgetown County Detention center pending a bond hearing.
