A 300-seat theater has been proposed to be placed on Main Street in the Arts and Innovation District and has received a conceptual review from the Community Appearance Board.

The architects are still working on plans and no formal vote was taken, but the city explained this is the first progressing step.

Myrtle Beach is planning to put the project out for bids in the coming months.
