Crash Involving A School Bus And A Semi Truck Resulted In Several Injuries
The crash is currently being investigated and it is unclear at this time who is at fault and if there will be any charges related to the incident.
On Thursday, a bus carrying Lake City High School football players and their coach was involved in a crash.
The school-bus was returning from a football camp that was held at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg County. It was heading North on U.S. 301 when a semi truck that was traveling West on Bonner Avenue collided with it.
The driver of the semi was not harmed. The coach was taken to a hospital in the Columbia area with unknown injuries. All 4 student athletes on board were taken to other nearby hospitals to be treated for minor injuries.
Two of the students attended Lake City High and the other two are students at J. Paul Truluck Creative Arts and Science Magnet School.
