One Arrested In Connection To Animal Fighting Investigation

Warrants stated that the scars and wounds found on the face, head, neck, and legs of the animals, are consistent with continuous face to face dog fighting.

One man has been arrested in connection to an on-going animal investigation.

Officials reported to Highway 57 South near Wampee to conduct a non-animal-related search warrant. Upon arrival they found a large number of dogs that appeared to show signs of abuse.

41-year-old Jemar Chestnut was taken into custody on Monday and faces 29 counts of ill-treatment of animals as well as 36 counts of harboring animals for fighting.
