Ron DeSantis To Announce Presidential Bid With Elon Musk Via Twitter
The event will take place at 6p.m. and will be moderated by tech entrepreneur David Sacks.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is set to share the virtual stage on Wednesday night with Elon Musk via Twitter when he kicks off his republican presidential primary campaign.
DeSantis will make the announcement through the site’s audio platform, Twitter Spaces, in a discussion with Musk.
Using Twitter aims to underscore DeSantis’ desire to win the loyalty of the right-wing influencers as part of a larger bid to overtake Former President Donald Trump as the 2024 GOP nominee.
By going to the social media platform to make his announcement, the 44-year-old Republican will seek to distinguish himself from his competitors who have all made traditional entries thus far.
The event will take place at 6p.m. and will be moderated by tech entrepreneur David Sacks.
Users are urged to tune in as this will be the first time something such as this is happening on social media and with real-time questions and answers that are said to be unscripted.
