Letecia Stauch Found Guilty Of Murdering Her Step Son
After psychological evaluations and days of testimonies, a jury found her guilty on four charges, including murder and tampering with evidence.
After several days of trial, Letecia Stauch has been found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
11-year-old, Gannon Stauch was reported missing in Colorado on January 27th of 2020. Weeks later, he was found dead in a suitcase under a bridge in Florida.
Gannon suffered stab wounds, blunt force trauma to his head, and two gun shot wounds.
Investigators found the child’s blood on his stepmother, Letecia’s, shoes, as well as DNA on a gun linked to his death, and learned she traveled to Florida shortly after he disappeared.
Letecia was arrested on March 3rd of 2020 in Myrtle Beach and pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity claiming she suffered a major psychotic episode as a result of childhood trauma when she killed Gannon.
