Six New Gates being Added to MYR
The project’s total cost has not been finalized.
Myrtle Beach International airport has announced new plans for a terminal expansion project. The airport is set to add six new gates to terminal A. The new additions will bring the total number of gates at MYR to 18. The project is part of the airport’s efforts to keep growing along with the rates of travelers, including the newly completed parking canopy over the rental car lot. The most-recent study of MYR’s economic impact showed the airport bringing in just short of $3 billion annually. An airport official said the project’s total cost has not been finalized but they’re hoping construction will begin in early 2024 with the project being completed in 2025.
